The Best Bloody Mary Recipe

I hold this classic drink to pretty high standards. Bloody Mary's have a quintessential Sunday brunch vibe and promise to cure any pains from a night well spent. They also are one of the only celebrated savory drinks out there. With that much riding on them, anything below incredible just wasn't going to be enough.

The journey to this final recipe included several long hours on Pinterest and bad combinations with too much vodka, not enough horseradish, too much horseradish, no hot sauce, not enough lemon but too much lime, and too much salt. I was starting to think I'd scrap it all completely and start over, until one afternoon it just all came together in a Great Vibes moment.

I'm pleased to celebrate one of my favorite drinks, perfect alongside a plate of pancakes and fruit at brunch or with chips and hummus in the afternoon. It has enough spice in it to kick up your tastebuds, but not too much that leave you worried about the next sip. The combination of flavors mixed into the veggie tomato juice is unlike any premixed variety I've found and is worth the extra effort.

I make all of the recipe and then store it in the tomato juice container so I have plenty for my next craving. Making it ahead of time without the vodka and pouring it into individual bottles makes great hostess gifts or party favors where your guests can decide how they'd like it later.

Notes ::

Everyone's preferences are different when it comes to alcohol and spice. If you find this is too weak or strong, adjust accordingly. I always make a recipe first the way it's listed, second with a little twist, and finally a third time to make sure I've got it just how I like it. I hope you share your versions in the comments or via social media so we can all enjoy! This cocktail can also be made without the vodka for a virgin Bloody Mary if you are expecting, have little ones who want to get in on the Great Vibes, or just want to sit back for an alcohol-free evening.

Cheers to Cocktails & Great Vibes! Xx.
